About Us

Chrome City Oil started from a passion for vehicles and a corresponding need for oil. After spending my whole life surrounded by vehicles, whether that be the family's vehicles, friend's vehicles, and race vehicles my passions have led to the opportunity to start my own AMSOIL business.

Chrome City Oil is a small business that I run by myself. I do not have a physical store front nor do I maintain inventory at my house. I am more than happy to provide my expertise, advice or opinions to help you get what you need.

History

The idea for Chrome City Oil started from a small family business my father ran out of his garage, Keith's Kustoms. As small child my father would sit me in a playpen in the garage and work on cars the whole day. This only continued as I aged, minus the playpen. Although I was a reluctant apprentice at first I have only come to appreciate this position more and more. Now I have taken over the role of maintaining the family's fleet of vehicles plus continuing the tradition of looking out for others.

Why AMSOIL?

Buying your first vehicle is a major purchase. When I bought my first vehicle, a RAM SRT-10, I started looking for the best way to protect all the expensive components throughout the truck's drivetrain. After looking at all of the typical synthetic oil brands I came across AMSOIL based on a suggestion from my Dad. My Dad used AMSOIL in his Harley Davison Ultra and found lower operating temperatures and smoother shifts. In my research I found that AMSOIL was actually the first company to ever make a full synthetic oil. Also, unlike some other oil brands that actually utilize a highly purified crude oil base stock, AMSOIL utilizes a 100% synthetic base stock.

I have since changed all the fluids front to back in my truck and I was hooked on the merits of AMSOIL products. The biggest thing I noticed with my truck was with the manual transmission. Being a manual transmission you’re in direct contact with the gears and can feel how well they engage. Right away I noticed smoother shifts when cold and less noise when warmed up. I was hooked! I now run AMSOIL in everything I own, from cars and trucks, to my air compressor and snow blower are all protected by AMSOIL products.

After telling all of my friends and family about how much AMSOIL products have helped my vehicles they started wanting to use AMSOIL in their cars. In wanting to help my friends and family I looked at the best way to be able to protect their vehicles with AMSOIL as well. This need for both large volumes and a wide variety of products led me becoming an AMSOIL dealer. As a dealer I am both able to help my friends and family with the right products as well as provided them great customer support with the full backing of AMSOIL. This type of care and customer support is what I want provide to everyone and their vehicles.
